A brand-new event is set to bring Somerset’s history, culture, and community spirit to life this Somerset Day weekend, as the Barrel & Bloom Festival makes its debut at Rich’s Cider Farm at Highbridge on 10th and 11th May 2025.

This grassroots mini-festival is a celebration of the best of Somerset - its traditions, food and drink, music, and, most importantly, its people. Set in the heart of cider country, Barrel & Bloom will showcase the county’s rich heritage with a weekend full of entertainment, local craftsmanship, and family-friendly fun.

The festival kicks off on Saturday, 10th May, with none other than the legendary Wurzels, who will set the tone for the weekend with their signature West Country sound. Expect a lively evening filled with music, dancing, and a fantastic atmosphere.

On Sunday, 11th May, the festivities continue with a family-friendly day of celebration. Visitors can enjoy cider tours and tastings, showcasing the finest local brews, alongside fantastic local food offerings.

There will be children’s activities to keep younger attendees entertained and an exciting lineup of live music from local bands and rising stars.
