Ilminster Town Crying Festival
The Ilminster Town Crying Championship, incorporating the Somerset Town Crying Championship and the West of England Town Crying Championship will take place on the morning of Somerset Day.
Town Criers from a wide area of the United Kingdom will compete to demonstrate their vocal virtuosity. There will also be a competition for Junior Town Criers. Criers and escorts will also be judged on the standard of their colourful regalia.
All are welcome to come and enjoy this loud and colourful event promoting and supporting the traditions of Merry England and our beautiful county of Somerset.
