Taunton-based Evosite, founded in the summer of 2007 by James Shakespeare and his co-partners, is a web agency specialising in helping SMEs raise their business visibility and increase their product sales through eCommerce websites.
As strategic partners of the Somerset Day Community Interest Company, Evosite have always maintained their support for Somerset Day, helping with website design, maintenance and graphic-design led work.
Now 22 employees strong, the Evosite team designs and builds high performance online stores and websites to aid growth for SMEs locally and nationally – they truly fly the flag for Somerset 365-days of the year as some of the country’s most knowledgeable web-designers and digital-media enthusiasts.
James Shakespeare, Founder and Chairman, maintains that Somerset is a “great location to work not only because of the quality of life, but also the great links the County has.”
“Quality of life is a big reason why we continue to operate the hub of the business from Somerset. Our team enjoys the mix of working for national and international brands along with the tranquillity of the county for themselves and their families. Taunton also has fantastic links to the big cities the majority of our clients are based, especially London.
There is also a great sense of community in the county which encourages collaboration in many forms. Something creatives like us thrive on!”
James says: “Evosite chose to become partners of Somerset Day because it represented so many values we believe in as a business, in particular the importance of community and supporting others. Having been raised in the County the owners of Evosite felt and continue to feel a genuine connection with Somerset Day’s mission – to celebrate Somerset as a place to live, work, learn and play.”
Even though the Evosite team are all currently working remotely due to the pandemic they will be flying the Somerset flag on May 11th, but in more of a virtual, digital and creative way.
