After supporting Somerset Day as Founding Partners since it’s conception in 2014, we’re delighted to hear that both Martin Thatcher and Eleanor Thatcher have their Somerset flag at the ready to celebrate Somerset Day once again on May 11th 2021.
Thatchers has been making cider at its farm in Sandford, Somerset for four generations, and with these roots so much a part of its long heritage and ethos, firmly supports Somerset as a place to live, work, play and learn 365 days of the year.
“Somerset Day is a great opportunity to show your support of this wonderful place we live in” says Martin Thatcher, born and bred in the county.
“We’ve been making cider at Myrtle Farm since 1904, and there’s no doubt this is the best place in the world to be living and working. And it’s definitely the best place to be making cider - we’re very proud to be able to put the words Somerset Cider on our labels.”
Thatchers will be launching a giveaway on social media in aid of Somerset Day, so keep an eye out on its channels for a chance to win a bundle of Somerset goodies.
To celebrate on May 11th, Thatchers will have some special offers in its cider shop, and will also mark the day in The Railway Inn where they host visitors from all over Somerset.
