Primary School children’s ‘Design a flag’ competition
Primary School children across Somerset worked hard to design a flag which represented their idea of Somerset.
The competition, which was launched by Somerset County Council Support Services for Education in conjunction with Somerset Day CIC, saw over 280 entries.
The joint overall winning designs were made into flags by Somerset Day partner Red Dragon Flagmakers – to be flown by the pupils’ schools.
Those whose designs came first, second and third in each group received recognition with prizes which included family tickets to Haynes International Motor Museum, kindly donated by Somerset Day partner Haynes, Amazon vouchers and Somerset flags.
